1) Indexing issues (paper page creation)

If you see “Indexing failed or took too long” or “Paper not found”:

  1. Wait and retry later. Indexing can fail temporarily due to upstream availability.
  2. Please don’t repeatedly click/refresh in a short time — it usually doesn’t help.
  3. If it still fails after retrying later, create a new forum topic with:
    • the arXiv link (e.g., https://arxiv.org/abs/XXXX.XXXXX)
    • the exact error message
    • when you tried

Note: In many cases this resolves on its own, but sharing the link + error helps us check for persistent issues.

2) Authorship claim issues

If the paper page exists but claiming authorship is rejected, pending, or stuck:

Before you contact support: Authorship claim typically requires your profile name and account email(s) to match the paper’s author information (adding a secondary email may help).

Pending: Some claims are reviewed manually, so it can take a few days (e.g., around weekends/holidays).

Rejected / stuck / can’t retry / “already claimed” / mis-assigned:
Email website@huggingface.co with:

  • paper link (HF paper page)
  • your HF username
  • status/error text
  • what you tried (name update, secondary email, etc.)
