A specific documents AI API for Hugging Face?

Open Assistant et al. can engage a chatter about any text published on a website but not as well if we had an API.

The chatbots admit to only being able to infer from its meaning.

Is there an AI for Hugging Face docs so that we can even keep your email inboxes and forum cues uncluttered and smooth sailing?

Thank you.

Sincerely,

You’re right: “chatting about a webpage” will always be partly guesswork unless the bot is grounded in the docs it retrieved.

The clean options are:

  1. A docs RAG assistant (index HF docs/markdown, answer with citations + links back to exact sections).
  2. Improve docs search with an “Ask AI” layer (DocSearch/Algolia style) so answers stay tied to sources.
  3. Use Discourse AI features (topic summaries / auto-answers) to reduce repeated questions and keep the forum tidy.

Bottom line: RAG + citations is what makes it reliable. Pure “infer from meaning” chat won’t be.
